Philosophy rendered in pixels. I build systems where an idea is not illustrated but executed — classical thought running as code, on a grid that never pretends to be anything else.
On Aristotle's Metaphysics in the Age of Pixels. 128 generative pixel cosmologies, each one complete and deterministic from a single hash.
Every piece is a gravitational system drawn on a declared grid — no antialiasing, accumulated as long exposure, quantised into a fixed palette. Nothing is stored: the image is computed when you open it and exists only while it runs.
At the centre there is nothing. The attractor that generates every orbit is never rendered — only a void where matter is consumed, and one pixel that never changes.

320 aphoristic arrows on the entanglement of bodies, images and code. Co-authored by two personas — Pedro H. Baez as Flesh, Pixlosopher as Code. Interactive edition, generative soundtrack, audiobook, and 320 one-of-one arrows on-chain.
fleshandcode.artArtist-owned stack on Shape Network. Home to CYCLES — a ten-edition generative meditation on recurrence, sold out — and the 1/1 GAMEofPWR.
Transient LabsA generative engine rather than an image. 128 deterministic pixel cosmologies built on Aristotle's division of quantity — a system that cannot render its own cause.
This siteAI, photography and research. Photographs from Jalisco's tequila region reinterpreted through neural network processing. Presented at Ars Electronica.
Ars ElectronicaOne hundred hand-drawn 1/1 pixel portraits of philosophers. Shown with Da Vinci Gallery — the collection the practice is named after.
Philosophical geometry as singular images — the body of work ENTELEKIA grew out of. Previously hosted on Foundation; being rehomed following the platform's closure.
EnquirePhotographic series on temporality and environmental context — philosophical perspectives on the horizon as a line that recedes as you approach it.
EnquirePixel landscapes after the classical painting traditions — Renaissance composition and travel studies rebuilt cell by cell.
EnquireI came to art from music, and to philosophy before either.
Born in the Sierra of Michoacán, Mexico. I work at the seam where classical thought meets computation — not illustrating ideas, but building systems that enact them. Six years of sustained experimentation with machine collaboration, held in the open rather than disclosed after the fact.
I call the practice Neo-Pixelism: the nostalgic essence of pixel art reimagined through contemporary tools. The grid is not a limitation inherited from old hardware. It is a declared unit of measure — the only honest one a screen has.
Recent work has moved from images made with machines toward machines that make images: hand-specified, deterministic engines whose output anyone can verify from a hash. Flesh & Code theorised that entanglement. ENTELEKIA runs it.
Foundation and Known Origin closed in 2026. Work held there remains yours on-chain and is being rehomed — if you collected a piece through either platform and need it re-pinned or reissued, write to me and I will sort it out.
